Bailey Schaefer broke the Chargers school record for 3 pointers made in a game as she made 7-of-12 on the way to 29 points. She also led B-E with 7 rebounds and 4 steals.
"Bailey had a tremendous game, we struggled to get a hand in her face especially in the 2nd half as she scored 20 of their 23 points,” said Underwood Head Coach Brian Hovland. “I thought we did a pretty good job in the beginning of playing with high intensity but we struggled to keep that throughout the game."
The Rockets were led by Liz Lukken (20 points, 5 rebounds, 8 steals), Mo Bugbee (14 points, 4 steals) and Josey Bugbee (8 rebounds).
“It was another low scoring affair tonight,” commented Brandon-Evansville Head Coach Zach Traphagen. “Underwood does such a nice job in their 1-3-1; their length really gave us trouble at times. They jumped out to a 19-4 lead right away and it was just too big of a hole for us to climb out of, although we did make a nice run at it. All we can do is keep coming to practice each day focused on getting better, and always being willing to compete.”
Underwood (8-2) will host Ada-Borup at 3:00pm Saturday.
Brandon-Evansville (4-6) has a Little Eight Conference home game with Battle Lake on Monday night.
