Kellen Shebeck takes over the head coaching reigns of the Underwood boys’ basketball team as we enter the 2021-22 season. Shebeck will be assisted by Drew Pearson, along with volunteer coaches Aaron Grove and Jake Risbrudt. The Rockets lost leading scorer Krosby Aasness to graduation last spring.
Juniors Jayden Harig (Guard) and Cole Peterson (Forward) are joined by sophomore Gavin Pausch (Guard) as returning letter winners for the Rockets.
“We will be young and inexperienced, but with some good leadership and hardworking underclassmen,” stated Coach Shebeck. “Defense will be a key part of any success we have and we will look to compete in every game we play.”
Shebeck sees Ashby and Hillcrest as the teams to beat in the Little Eight Conference, with Ashby, BBE, Hancock and New York Mills at the top of Section 6A.
