Highlights for the Bulldogs included a sixth place finish out of 25 varsity teams for the boys, 17 athletes recording personal best times, Peter Newark was the first Minnesota 5k finisher and is now 4th all-time in OTC history with his time of 17 minutes, Josiah Mansker taking 7th in the boys’ seventh grade race and Delia Tebrugge finishing seventh in the girls’ eighth grade race.

 “The Border Battle was a great atmosphere for our runners,” reported OTC Head Coach Brady Speicher.  “I have to tip my hat to the race organizers for putting on this incredible event.  The Bulldogs ran tough today.  Our goal was to embrace the pain that cross country racing brings.  Over the last 3 weeks of racing we have set 57 new PR’s.  Those types of results don’t come by accident.  This team is working hard and they deserve all the recognition they can get.”

The next race for the Bulldogs is in Pelican Rapids on Thursday.
