With the game tied at 6-6 early in the first half, the Underwood girls’ basketball team went on a 26 point run to open up a 32-6 advantage over Battle Lake. The Rockets led 40-13 at the half and went on to win 60-37 on Senior Night at the Underwood gym.
Senior Mo Bugbee scored 18 of her game high 22 points in the first half and was joined in double figures by fellow senior Mia Blaskowski with 11 points. They were honored along with seniors Zoey Swanson (4 points), Becca Johnson (2 points) and Alayna Evavold (1 point).
Battle Lake senior Morgan Malone led the Battlers with 17 points. Sophie Akerman and Kenady Cameron added 8 points apiece.
Underwood (15-3, 11-1 LEC) will play at Parkers Prairie as the first game of a girl/boy double header on Friday.
Battle Lake (1-17, 0-11 LEC) is at Hancock on Monday night and will host Wheaton/Herman-Norcross on Tuesday.
