The Underwood Football Team hosted their End of the Year Awards banquet on Tuesday night at the Underwood School.  In typical fashion the Underwood Families showed up in full support with a great crowd and an outstanding potluck food spread.  The Rockets ended their season with a 6-4 overall record.  The Rockets amassed 2,800 offensive yards and outscored their opponents 229-174 and won the overall turnover battle 11-20.

The Rockets were led by 10 outstanding seniors.  Coach Ryan Hendrickson complimented his Senior Class, "Our Seniors have been a great group of guys.  What makes them special is that they are all best friends and would do anything for each other and anyone around them. In their Football tenure not one of them has ever been ineligible for any reason and to me that shows their great character and pride they take in everything they do."

Hendrickson added, "We had a lot of guys really step up this year, one of them being Evan Lundgren.  He moved into the QB 1 spot in week 3 and led us as the QB for the rest of the season when Drew Evavold broke a bone in his hand.  Evan amassed 6 TDs in the air and added 4 more on the ground."

Noah Link entered the Rockets All-Time Record Leader Book by having 3 interceptions in a single game.  Brock Hasling led the Rockets 2 years in a row as leading tackler amassing over 200 tackles in his career as Middle Linebacker.

The Rockets were honored within the Sub-District with 4 players on the Sub-district team: Kale Rich, Collin Lukken, Brock Hasling, and Noah Link.  Kale Rich was also awarded Offensive Lineman of the Year within the Sub-district.  Brady Moore and Kale Rich were also added to the Sub-District Academic Team.

The Rockets also earned a couple State Level Awards.  Brady Moore earned an Academic All-State Award and the Rockets honored with Academic All-State Silver Award.

Coach Hendrickson gives thanks to the Underwood Community, "A great big thank you to all that contributed to our football season.  Our Admin, Custodial Staff, Band Director and Pep Band, Parents, Players, Film Crew, Stats Crew, Student Managers, our media outlets, and especially my Elementary, Junior High, and 9-12 Coaching staff and their Families for allowing us to do what we do.  Everyone puts in a countless amount of hours to their dedication to our season, it is appreciated more than I have the words for."
